From Commercial Plating to Olymco

Olymco’s published history runs through three names.

1955
Commercial Plating begins, a division of Olympic Plating Industries, Inc., founded by John C. Kiminas.
1977
The operation becomes Olympic Solar Corporation, and that solar work remains part of Olymco's solar black chrome offering.
1984
The business takes the Olymco, Inc. name and continues its metal finishing work in Canton.

Plating and polishing in one facility

Olymco’s Canton facility brings several plating lines, an in-house polishing department, and a lab together. The finishing range includes bright and black chrome, nickel, stainless steel treatments, and powder coating.

By Olymco’s own account, its management brings more than a century of combined plating experience and stays hands on, from answering the phone to the finished parts leaving the plant.

For a buyer evaluating the shop, the next step is to match the process to the part. Review the finishing capabilities with your alloy, dimensions, lot quantity, and required specification in mind.

How do you qualify Olymco for your work?

Ask about the process, inspection, and documentation your program requires. The quality program and lab provide a starting point, and the contact details identify the sales and quality contacts.

If a plant visit would help your supplier review, call to discuss arrangements before traveling.
